The last wedding of 2011-and i was treated with a this wonderful sight of a bagpiper under the arch at Pendennis Castle! The flowers were a velvety mix of Grandprix Roses and Cadbury purple Vanda Orchids. I used holly, ivy, spruce and mistletoe with bundles of cinnamon for a really Christmassy scent. The table decorations were sumptuous wreaths that the guests can take for their doors.... we used loads of candles and the whole effect has made me feel really festive! A very merry christmas to all! Ill be back in the New Year-looking forward to some gorgeous weddings in 2012....

A rather tasty little winter wedding.I used lots of herbs and nibbly elements like oranges, nuts and cinamon.I really like the oranges and silvers together.....

A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS! These are the most beautifully crafted paper cutouts by the artist Anna Hayworth. They are on show at Kestle Barton. The detail is so enchanting...I could look at them for hours!

The flowers for last weeks weddings where in the same subtle autumn/winter shades as my husbands painting of Scotland he is working on. The wedding was all Roses in these sophisticated vintage shades-some were David Austin garden roses so the smell was delicious....

Hello again! Sorry for the gap-I have been away on my honeymoon in California-it was AWESOME! Here I am selecting a pumpkin at a pumpkin patch for our campervan-we had to get into the spirit of it-Halloween is huge out there! More Autumn treats to come....

Its Dahlia season!Dahlias-my favourite Autumn flower. They come in so many gorgeous gypsy bright and more subtle colours and you can get spidery ones and pom- pommy ones. I get them from the lady at Falmouth farmers market.I went out to visit her fields and they look so colourful bobbing on their stems. As you can see here I have used them to add bright colour and also in pale/ white weddings to add a really great texture to the bouquets.

Feeling Autumny! Definatley new coat and boot time now. This bride collected together brown bottles for her flowers which set off the burnt oranges and reds really well.
