Its a bit of a grey day today but these spring flowers and Genista blossoms burst with the promise of spring.There are catkins on the trees and the daffodils are just coming open-Ive been watching them-waiting for the moment and it looks like this is the week.Watch this space for a daffodil extravaganza!

HAPPY VALENTINES EVERYONE!  There are lots of things you can do with hearts for weddings-wicker hearts dotted with flowers are the most popular option hanging on gates and walls.They are a rather nice welcome!

Just a quick word on the dainty Snowdrop which is available January to April: A perfect UK flower to use in late winter bouquets. Queen Victoria had a bouquet of Snowdrops for her wedding in Febuary 1840 to Prince Albert-they were  his favourite flower!

Now if pansies dont cheer up a grey Febuary day I dont know what will!I always get these in the house around now and feel spring is just around the corner!
